Counterpoint Series, 2022 - 2023
This series, like New Circle, features relief prints from pieces of a circular woodblock, and inspired by images of red-tailed hawks, especially in the colors, but also references flight, landing, and hunting behavior.
In the top three panels, I superimposed over the relief prints, a blend roll of blue and white, manipulated with tools and rags for a calligraphic feel.
